Your kitchen is one of the most used rooms in any home. It is the central place for cooking, eating, and if you're like us, just about everything else goes on in there too! Although unfortunately, kitchens are also known for never having enough storage. So we understand that it can be easily overwhelming when you have limited space are adding in new serveware pieces.
This guidepost is all about giving creative ways for styling and staging your kitchen and home with your serveware items! Below we focus on four different pieces of serveware and how to style them when not in use. Any home style can use these items in different ways when not using them to serving. If you love trends like open shelving, minimalist design, and stacking, then this is for you!
Trays
Practically everything looks good when arranged and organized on a tray. Generally, people think trays are used just for serving, but there are so many other options for these serveware staples. You can create a vignette inside the tray with; a tea set, desserts, a loaf of homemade bread, a fruit tray, and so on. It can hold things that aren't food, from mail to flowers,
kitchen utensils, books, and candles.
Our only tip is that you make sure to be intentional about its contents, try and create an overall theme, and stick with it depending on
what room you're placing it in.
Boards
Show them off! Boards usually get a bad wrap because everyone thinks immediately of cutting boards. But boards are made for serving! Try looking for ones in an odd size like super small or extra-large, one with a unique shape, or made out of different materials like wood or stone.
First, we must suggest you try creating a fantastic grazing board on it, or at least a serving vessel for any meal. You can use your boards as a base to lay bread, oils, or candles on for a decorative centerpiece. Boards also look great displayed leaned up against the backsplash in your kitchen. The more you see them, the more you will use them!
Bowls
Bowls can be used all over the house as a place for keys, treats, decor, and to hold items for a quick snack. Larger bowls are perfect for displaying fruits and vegetables in the kitchen or on the table as a centerpiece.
You can genuinely change up any space's style by exchanging different bowls during each season or holiday. Switch it up!
Pitchers
We believe everyone should own at least one! Pitchers are great for an everyday reminder to drink water and serve yourself. But when they are not in use, they are a great brightener on any table or surface.
A pitcher is a perfect size to hold a bouquet, rotate between using fresh or dry flowers throughout the year. Never underestimate the power of a fresh scent to spruce up any space! Another option is to use it for collecting spoons and spatulas. Or to gather the gadgets needed for a new baking recipe!
